Our Land
Once upon a time the TinkleTimes was a website and blog about our farm in Missouri, where we raised Katahdin sheep. Jim has always worked as a contract engineer and spent much of his time on the road. When the last kid left home, we made the decision to sell the farm, buy a larger RV, and fulltime.
We did this for a bit over 3 years, and very much enjoyed it, most especially always being together, after many years of living apart most of the time. The blog has evolved over time, and these days is mainly about daily life and Quilting.
We did replace the farm with bare land, to one day build on if we so choose. It’s a 60 acre parcel not too far from the Arkansas border, located in the “Mill Country” of southern Missouri. It’s a stunning piece of property that really must be hiked to appreciate it. Wet weather creaks meander throughout the land, with some beautiful bottom ground that happens to be in the very center of the boundaries.
The woods are full of Oak, Hickory, Dogwood and Redbud trees, and hasn’t been timbered in many, many years. There is a spring that flows through the land, and splits in several directions and pools.
The land is completely private, once on it and about 50 feet in, all the views belong to the property. Nothing to see or hear but trees and wildlife.

It's Official! The Tinkles now have a mailbox on "P" highway! It just had to be fate! -
April 2006 (15)
Jim and I made a trip home on April 1st, 2006 to look over our property. We wanted to see what it looked like in early spring. It was just a bit early yet for the redbuds and dogwoods to be flowering, but they were budded out and we have absolutely tons of dogwoods, our land should look like it's virtually snow covered in another week!
