About Us
“Old enough to know better, too young too care”
As of April 2008, Jim and I are no longer fulltiming in our RV, a 39’ quadruple slide Cedar Creek Custom 37CKQS which is now for sale.
Jim is on a long term contract in Arkansas, and so we’ve purchased a home on 5 acres just on the edge of town. I’m still unpacking, trying to find time to sew, stock a pantry, and prepare to setup gardens and an orchard this Fall when it cools off again.
For an avid quilter with a passion for sewing in general, after nearly 4 years of living in an RV fulltime, I am so thrilled to have an entire room for sewing. My 4 machines can now all reside in their own special place, I can find all my threads, and I have space to cut fabric!
I am also delighted to once again have a real kitchen with all my long stored favorite pots and pans and numerous gadgets… most especially my KitchenAid mixer (how I missed that!) and a full size grill back at my disposal.
I feel like I’ve died and gone to creative heaven, and the best part is that for the first time, I have a home AND my husband at the same time! THANK YOU GOD!
My favorite joke:
A chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette with a satisfied smile on its face. The egg, looking decidedly unhappy, grabs the sheet and rolls over and says, “Well, I guess we finally know the answer to THAT question!”
And my favorite comeback:
For all those men who say, “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?”, here’s an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage!
